Search Marketing Manager

Description:The Search Marketing Specialist will develop and execute the paid search marketing efforts for the 1-800 Contacts brand, by utilizing market and customer insights to drive paid search performance. He or she develop and maintain careful reporting of search-related metrics, as well as a robust test-and-learn plan to improve search creative, keywords & overall efficiency. The Search Marketer will work with the search and other marketing teams to develop forecasts and goals for the program, as well as develop and execute initiatives to achieve those goals.

Duties:• Manage paid search campaigns - analyzing quantitative, qualitative and underlying data to consistently improve campaign performance
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of paid search strategies in generating increased web traffic and revenue
• Execute ongoing performance testing of all search ad copy, landing pages, keyword bids, and position management to achieve aggressive acquisition targets
• Identify and test new search marketing programs and opportunities
• Optimize ads and landing pages for conversion from search engines
• Mine analytics search logs and organic search referrals on a monthly basis to grow keyword portfolio
• Keep on top of industry trends in search engine and online marketing. Monitor and report on shifts in the search marketing/SEM landscape for the company and its key competitors
Qualifications:Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3+ years of search marketing experience with a successful track record, either in-house or at an agency/consultancy
• Experience with third-party bid management tools and natural search tools
• Proven experience managing search engine marketing budgets and campaigns

Skills & Competencies
• Ability to set forecasted goals and to develop business strategy that achieves goals Must have attention to detail with a strong focus on analytics
• Must be very comfortable with analytics software (Google Analytics, AdWords, and Adobe SiteCatalyst). Prefer Experience with Adobe SiteCatalyst and Adobe Discover
• General knowledge and experience with comparison shopping engines and data feeds
• Strong project management and inter-departmental coordination skills
• Highly motivated with ability to thrive in a fluid and demanding environment
